This intensive retreat offers the opportunity for women in business to step away from your business to focus on launching in their business. The intensive will run from Sunday 10 November to Thursday 14 November 2024.
Please read these Terms and Conditions as they contain important information about the retreat. This document is also available on request, and will be attached to your confirmation email upon registration. By booking and making payment you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Retreat.
Terms and conditions
Key Terms
“we/us/our”: these terms are representative of Online Social Butterfly and Sarah Thomson. It is implied that these individuals are representatives of their individual organisations.
“retreat”: this term is used to represent the Business Bestie Retreat
Booking and payment
Payment
By purchasing the retreat, you agree to pay the advertised price in Australian Dollars (AUD). Please check the equivalent in your local currency.
Pricing is inclusive of GST.
Booking form
You will be required to complete a booking form once you have completed payment.
You agree to provide requested details accurately and honestly, to the best of your knowledge.
Payment Plan
A payment plan option is available for selection on the Retreat order form. You may select and confirm your option by choosing either full payment upfront or the payment plan.
Cancellation and refunds
A lot of planning, preparation and collaboration has been invested in planning the retreat so that it is an unforgettable and unique experience for you. Therefore, we have a strict refund policy.
Refunds will not be available in the following circumstances:
- if you change your mind
- if you fail to provide medical evidence as requested below.
Refunds will be considered in the following circumstances with the following fees.
45 Days prior to departure
You may cancel your booking 45 days prior to departure and receive a refund, less a non-refundable deposit of 25% of your booking amount.
30 Days prior to departure
You may cancel your booking up to 30 days prior to departure. A Cancellation Fee of 50% of your booking amount will be retained.
14 Days prior to departure
You may cancel your booking up to 14 days prior to the commencement of the retreat. A Cancellation Fee of 75% will be deducted.
Refunds will not be given for cancellations under 14 days prior to departure.
The balance will be refunded to your bank account only.
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be in writing by email to: sarah@onlinesocialbutterfly.com.au
Cancellations in the event of illness will require a medical certificate from a medical professional and will be subject to all fees above. Please include a copy of your medical certificate with your cancellation request.
Transferring your booking to another person
Your booking may be transferred to another person if agreed by us.
A booking transfer fee of AUD$100 administration fee will be payable by the person transferring the booking.
All terms and conditions outlined in this document apply to the individual the booking is transferred to.
Cancellation by Retreat Organisers
Unforeseen circumstances
We reserve the right to cancel the trip if an event occurs outside of our control that impacts the operation of the trip fundamentally, and which we judge could have a severe negative impact on the travelling experience.
An unforeseen circumstance includes but is not limited to changes in travel borders and restrictions due to COVID-19, political unrest, terrorism threat or natural disaster.
If this occurs your deposit and any other monies paid will be fully refunded.
Minimum numbers requirement
If the minimum number of 4 attendees is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat.
In the event of any cancellation by us:
- You will be offered an alternative date for a future retreat
- Your deposit and all other monies paid will be refunded in full.
Third-party service providers
You acknowledge that we will engage with a range of third parties and individuals to assist in the running of this retreat.
To the best of our knowledge, these third parties are qualified to perform the duties they are contracted to perform.
We will not be held liable for injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity or anything that may occur due to the behaviour of these third parties.
Any advice or information given is given in good faith, but we will not be held liable for any outcome resulting from such advice.
Responsibilities for personal items and valuables
You are solely responsible for the safekeeping and care of your personal items and valuables.
We hold no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, theft, breakage or damage to personal items and belongings during any Retreat experience, to and from the Retreat or during any Retreat related experience.
Privacy policy
We are committed to providing you with the highest level of customer service and this includes protecting your privacy.
Our team and employees of third-party providers who assist us are the only parties who access the information we collect.
Information will not be disclosed to any other party unless prior agreement is sought from you.
We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia).
Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a complaint you agree that you will notify us with a view to friendly resolution immediately.
Both our reputations are valuable, and we pride ourselves on conducting ourselves in a fair, reasonable manner, therefore you agree refrain completely from discussing your complaint with any third party before, during and after your issues have been fully resolved.
If resolution is not achieved to the satisfaction of both parties then the dispute will be referred to Mediation services in Western Australia.
The cost of Mediation will be shared equally between the parties.
Photography and video use of images—consent
You understand you may be photographed or filmed during your participation in the retreat.
You agree to allow your photograph(s), video, or film likeness, in original, altered or enhanced state to be used for any legitimate purpose by both organisers.
Legitimate purpose includes, but is not limited to, marketing purposes such as website, promotional material for public display and distribution, media release, social media (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
Medical treatment—consent
As a Retreat Participant, you consent to:
Receive medical assistance/treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this program.
Waive any right to bring an action for loss or damage against us as the Retreat Organisers where assistance/treatment (provided or attempted) has accidentally worsened your condition.
Medical Clearance for Travel
As a Retreat Participant you understand and agree that you are responsible for obtaining clearance from a qualified medical practitioner to travel and participate in this Retreat.
Personal conduct
As Retreat Participant, you:
- Agree to conduct yourself with responsibility, decorum and kindness at any retreat.
- Agree and understand that should you engage in inappropriate, illegal or disruptive behaviour (including but not limited to bullying, harassment, discrimination, unlawful, disrespectful or violent or intimidating behaviour) to all persons (including but not limited to our personnel and employees, the local community, other guests and participants) you will be asked to leave the Retreat at your own cost and no refund will be available.
- Acknowledge and understand that during “free time” you are liable for the activities that you undertake and do so with the knowledge that neither us nor any of our employees are not liable for your decisions.
- Agree and understand that any intake of alcohol or legal/illegal drugs are done so at your own risk and we are not held liable for this.
- Agree and understand you, and not us, are solely responsible for any liability for repair, replacement, medical and other associated costs, and any fine or penalty imposed by any relevant authority arising out of your negligence or deliberate act or omission causing damage to any equipment, premises, vehicle, public or private property or land, or injury harm or death to any person, animal domestic or wild, or flora.
- Agree and understand that we take no responsibility for the conduct of retreat participants and will not be held liable for any loss or damage to person or property caused by another retreat participant(s).
Liability waiver and indemnity
As Retreat Participant, you hereby agree to release, indemnify, and discharge us (and/or their directors, family, employees, co-facilitators, volunteers and representatives) as follows:
You agree that we are not responsible for any loss, damage, cost, expense or other liability whatsoever incurred by your arising out of:
- Injury, accident or death
- Loss or delay of baggage or other property; and or
- Any delay, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, or frustration, whether physical or mental resulting from, but not limited to any of the following factors:
- The act or omission of any party including us or our employees.
- Mechanical breakdown, government actions, weather or any other factors beyond our control.
- Your failure to read the information provided and/or follow instruction including but not limited to obtaining sufficient travel protection and health insurance and providing correct and complete personal health and travel information.
- Your cancellation and/or change of any travel services; and/or
- Your medical or health problems or physical disabilities stated or otherwise.
Assumption of risk
Transport Services, activities, and excursions
You agree that your participation in all retreat activities, accommodation use, travel and transportation (private, hired, public, with or without a hired driver) is purely voluntary.
You expressly agree to assume all the risk of injury and activity and/or damage in participating in all activities, accommodation use, and transport services and options offered during the Retreat.
Third-party service providers
You agree that we hold no responsibility for the action omissions of third parties or independent contractors, including in the event they modify the nature of the retreat/journey/tour.
You acknowledge that any eventuality of the same risks are not grounds for refund or discount.
Release from liability
You hereby agree that we are released from all liability arising from any negligence or fault, for your death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to you, including your travel to and from the Retreat, food poisoning and accommodation issues.
Confirmation
I confirm that I have read the terms and conditions for the Business Bestie Business Retreat with Sarah Thomson held in Dunsborough, Western Australia and agree to be bound by them. I understand that once I have paid, either by paying in full or choosing the payment plan, I am bound by these terms and conditions.
